BIOMETRICS
Taking a page from nuclear power plant security, Network Systems Engineering Corporation (NSEC) designed and installed the first-ever biometric hand geometry system for a children's day care facility: Lighthouse Academy is equipped with a state of the art biometrics security system to ensure the safety of every child. The system uses a personalized security code and a hand recognition system to record, without error, the entrance and departure of every person (including staff members).
This system, in conjunction with Softerware's EZCare2 Daycare Center Management Software System, ensures that each child's attendance is accurately tracked and recorded. Furthermore, the system maintains the arrival and departure of staff members: this data is then used to generate time sheets and other payroll-related information.
